It takes a village to raise a child, and that is why we strongly believe in collaborative working. In May 2018, our CEO Magdalene Adenaike and Cllr. Jamie Audsley organised a Youth Open Day, with an objective to engage more of the young people in Croydon with the organisations who are very proactive in providing activities and support for them.
We also wanted to ensure that parents and schools knew who these organisations were and very comfortable in signposting their young people. We also wanted to ensure that the council, local MP's, Councillors and police was as involved in the process as well, bringing a very joined up and connected approach to the issue of youth violence. Collectively, ensuring that we hear what everyone was doing in order to hold them to account.

Engaging with the community is paramount to our continuous drive to expand our reach to a wider audience and support even more young people
Through the work of two young research students Bartholomew Konechni and Dylan Richter, we produced 2 booklets as foundational guide for activists and policymakers to run campaigns in tackling knife crime.
