Meet Our Ambassadors
As an organisation that strongly believes in the cultivating of leadership spirits within the young person, we ensure that all our ambassadors further developed their skills in the development of leadership skills.
The OCNLR Awards in Developing Leadership Skills are aimed at developing the leadership skills of learners, enriching their employability skills and personal growth. The Awards is delivered as part of an enrichment programme and are available at Level 1 and Level 2 to make the topic accessible to the broad range of abilities and needs.
Young people in today's schools will be the next generation of leaders in the workplace, in our communities and in their families. Development of leadership contributes greatly to the positive development of young people and their communities. Helping young people to develop leadership skills improves their ability to solve community problems and enhances their citizen participation.
We believe it's important for our students to experience leadership opportunities during their schooling, to learn the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn to identify and display effective communication and interpersonal skills provided by All Inclusive.
Our ambassadors are a dynamic team of volunteers aged 11- 25 years old. They work together to tackle youth barriers within society and support MRF to represent the voices of young people. Ambassadors must sign up to at least 80% of volunteering time a month and in exchange, we support them with opportunities to really make a difference as well as training and support.
Our Ambassadors:
Nia
I am 19 years old and enjoy volunteering and being part of various youth organisations and involved in different roles.
My hobbies are singing and hair and make-up with which I have identified transferable skills that have helped me develop a better sense of customer service, patience, improved communication, time management, and organisation.
I enjoy being a Music Relief ambassador because the members are continuously supportive and aim to enhance my confidence bringing out every positive character I possess. As an ambassador, it also means that I have quite a big responsibility on my shoulders and I must remember to be approachable and conduct myself accordingly.
Angel
I am a 14-year-old individual, who is enterprising and creative and enjoy working within the community making a positive impact.
My hobbies are acting, dancing, music-making and sports which I love to do very much.
I am inspired by people who overcome obstacles, exhibiting strengths like resilience and courage, in order to make something from nothing - all of which I strive to become.
As a proud ambassador of Music Relief Foundation, I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to be able to assist in making changes within my community by using music and public speaking as a platform to highlight issues affecting young people, for example, knife crime and hate crime.
Joshua
I am 15 years old, and my hobbies are rugby, football, sleeping and playing PS4.
I like being an ambassador of Music Relief because you get to experience and go to places that many of my peers are not able to access at our age. I especially love it because of all the skills I am developing that will further help enhance my CV.
Kai
I am 14 years old; I like playing basketball and writing songs. I will like to work within the music industry when I grow up, developing my mixing and mastering skills even further.
I started attending Music Relief’s programs and activities 4 years ago, and 2 years ago I became an ambassador and have really grown as an individual and within the organisation.
I like being an ambassador because it has given me opportunities that most people my age group do not have.
